Digital X-Ray
Digital radiography is a type of X-ray imaging that uses digital X-ray sensors to replace traditional photographic X-ray film, producing enhanced computer images of teeth, gums and other oral structures and conditions. It is possible for both tooth decay and periodontal disease to be missed during a clinical exam and radiographic evaluation of the dental and periodontal tissues is a critical segment of the comprehensive oral examination.
Radiovisiography (RVG) as the latest imaging technique in dentistry with the minimal radiation exposure of the patient and numerous possibilities to process the images has many advantages over classic old technique of radiography.
With a remarkable reduction in radiation dosage in comparison with conventional X-ray films; digital radiography offers many advantages over conventional methods. It eliminates the need for film and film developing thus allowing for lower radiation exposure.
One can immediately observe these radiographic images on screens in front of them on every chair. At Vasupujya Dental Hospital, all our dental chairs are attached to RVG with 36 inch screen right in front of the patients’ chair for both: the patient and the dentists’ view.
