Cavity Filling

Cavity Filling

When cavities occur to a lesser extent i.e. which do not damage the innermost part of the tooth (pulp), the dentist will choose dental fillings to rebuild the lost tooth portion.

  • Composite dentistry is a relatively simple, cost-effective dentistry, ideal for minor cosmetic changes and correction of small to moderate defects in the front teeth, such as chipped or slightly fractured teeth. The procedure includes placement of a tooth like (composite) material, adhered, sculpted and polished to give LIFE-LIKE appearance to give you the smile you always wanted. With plenty of latest, long lasting materials, available in various shades of Whites, we can not only aesthetically restore but also strengthen your tooth structure.
  • Tooth colored filling materials are not only an attractive replacement for unsightly and biologically hazardous silver fillings, but they are also stronger, biologically better compatible and metal free.
  • Composite resin fillings also known as white / tooth colored fillings are of flowable and/or packable resin medium that produces a solid tooth-colored filling on getting cured by LED light. They are used to fill cavities, restore tooth decay, and prevent further decay. Composite fillings are BPA-free, non-toxic and absolutely completely safe and easy to perform.
  • Also known as filled resins, composite fillings are often used in small to mid-size restorations, as they provide strength, durability, and resistance to fracture.
  • The dentist will use a drill to remove decay from the affected tooth and prepare it for filling. Then, it will be chemically cleaned and a material with be used to micromechanically bond the filling material with the tooth structure. Lastly, the composite resin filling will be introduced, which involves layering on resin and hardening it using a specialized light to make it strong.
  • The final step involves polishing the tooth and reducing occlusal disturbances, if any.
  • A simple and quick procedure which causes absolutely no pain.
